Who we are

About Us

Since opening our doors in 2016, Sorry Mom Ink has been a labor of love.

What started as a dream to create the kind of tattoo environment my soul was searching for has grown into two unique spaces, a family of like-minded artists, and a community we’re incredibly proud of. For the past four years, we’ve been honored to be voted Best of Olympia, but our greatest accomplishment has always been creating a space where people feel welcomed, inspired, and truly seen.

At the heart of Sorry Mom Ink is something that can’t be manufactured—culture.

We’ve spent years intentionally curating an environment built on kindness, collaboration, creativity, and mutual respect. Our artists aren’t competing with one another; they’re cheering each other on. Sharing ideas. Growing together. Learning together. Creating intentional art with passion and purpose. We believe amazing tattoos come from amazing energy, and we work hard every day to protect that vibe.

Two Locations. Two Experiences. One Heart.

SMI Suites was created for artists and clients who crave a quieter experience. This appointment-only studio offers a calm, semi-private environment where artists can focus without the constant flow of walk-ins. It provides the best of both worlds—peaceful and controlled, yet still connected to a community of fellow creatives.

Sorry Mom Ink on Freedom is where spontaneity lives. Open daily from noon until 8 pm (or whenever we’re done creating for the day), our flagship location welcomes both appointments and walk-ins, making tattooing approachable, fun, and accessible to everyone. Whether you’ve planned your piece for months or decided today is the day, we’re here for it.

More Than A Tattoo Shop

Each artist brings their own unique flair to the studio. From paintings and prints to stickers, crystals, plants, apparel, and handmade creations, our spaces are filled with little pieces of the personalities that make this place special.

You’ll find us hosting flash events, collaborating with local businesses, popping up around the community, and welcoming guest artists from around the world. We’ve always believed tattooing should feel bigger than four walls. We strive to be a safe, supportive place for artists and clients alike—a place where creativity and connection matter just as much as the tattoos themselves.

Curating a culture is never finished. It’s a forever project, and one we’re deeply grateful to continue.

After nearly a decade in business, we don’t take a single day, returning client, or visiting artist for granted. Thank you for allowing us to create with you, laugh with you, grow with you, and become part of your stories.

Because at the end of the day, we’re not just building tattoos.

We’re building community.

And we hope you’ve felt that love throughout the years.

Welcome home.
